November has arrived, and it’s Self-Care Month here at Hippie Yoga. This month, we’re inviting you to redefine self-care in a way that suits you and encourages small, meaningful changes. Self-care is all about taking time on purpose to care for yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically, so you feel your best and can show up fully for those around you.
🎉 Self-Care Bingo Challenge 🎉
Our Self-Care Bingo Challenge started November 1st but you can still join! This fun activity is designed to encourage a little extra joy and wellness throughout the month. Pick up your Bingo card at the studio.
What Does Self-Care Look Like?
Self-care can mean different things to each of us. Here are some ideas that may resonate:
Getting enough rest
Meditating, stretching, or practicing yoga
Spending quality time with friends and family
Moving your body
Following up on any health check-ups you’ve been putting off
Small Steps Make a Big Impact
If you’re unsure where to start, try incorporating just one small self-care habit this month:
Turn off your phone or TV 10 minutes before bed to improve sleep quality
Take a quick walk outside to clear your mind and reset
Schedule a check-up you’ve been putting off or plan a dinner with friends
These little changes may feel small but can have a major impact on mood, health, and overall well-being.
Self-Care Isn’t Selfish
Remember: Self-care is essential, not selfish. When we care for ourselves, we’re better able to connect, support, and enjoy time with others. For parents, practicing self-care is also a great way to show children that it's okay for them to take care of themselves.
